Healthcare Impacts During COVID-19 Pandemic
The current pandemic and economic recession is laying bare the inequities in our society, key among them, the fact that health insurance is currently linked to employment. As the unemployment rate soars, millions of people are losing their jobs and health insurance at the same time, putting them in an even more vulnerable situation during a public health crisis. As people are put in the position of choosing to pay the bills, put food on the table, or to seek medical care, the current healthcare system is a public health risk that harms everyone.
Under Medicare for All, if you lose your job, you would still have health insurance. We deserve that freedom all the time, not just during a crisis. It is more important than ever that we pressure our elected officials to make Medicare For All happen NOW.

Who We Are
Healthcare for All Connecticut is a grassroots organization working to educate, raise awareness, and advocate for Medicare For All, a national, public system of healthcare for all.
We believe that healthcare is a human right and that everyone in the U.S. should have healthcare. Healthcare is a non-partisan issue–it is an issue for all people that affects all of our lives. We believe in working together to ensure that we can all lead healthy lives.
What We Do
Our current campaign is in support of the Medicare for All Act of 2019 (H.R. 1384-House / S. 1129-Senate). We aim to educate people in Connecticut about the proposed legislation and healthcare for all broadly, and to pressure our elected officials to co-sponsor the bill. We believe that positive change will happen through collective action and organizing and the voice of the people. The voice of the people is calling for healthcare for all.
